Can design be a conversation? Can materials tell a story?
For the 15th anniversary of bold-design, the exhibition DIALOGUES opens a space where design, material innovation, and technology converge, exploring new narratives through objects that challenge conventional making.
In this spirit, POOLP collaborated with bold-design to push the limits of large-format 3D printing, creating two distinctive pieces: a stool and a bench, entirely printed in transparent rPETG, a 100% recycled plastic waste.
Inspired by loops and interwoven lines, these forms feel spontaneous, yet they emerge from a rigorous digital process. The interplay between parametric design and robotic fabrication allows for geometries that would be nearly impossible with traditional techniques. Each layer, precisely deposited, shapes a dialogue between fluidity and structure, craft and automation, past and future.
But the conversation doesn’t end here. These pieces are part of a greater vision: one where materials never become waste, where design is both aesthetic and responsible, and where advanced technology serves to preserve, not exploit.
